BIB 011 · WHY WE WALK

Therapy's expensive.
So we walk.

That sign started as a joke on one of our London walks. It stuck, because it's true: movement is the most accessible mental health tool we have, and it works better together.

Sabi Sweat exists to help everyday people move with purpose, not pressure. We're building a community that proves you don't have to be perfect, just consistent. Whether you're walking for peace of mind, fitness goals or your first crop top summer, we move together.

That's why streaks reward showing up, Life Happens passes protect your streak when the day gets away from you, and the community feed makes sure nobody moves alone.

Challenges we've smashed

Summer 2025 · the first

Step Into Summer 2025

Our first ever challenge, and it was global from day one: 865 participants and 153 million steps. Seventy days, 12 April to 21 June, one rule: hit 20k steps on 50 of them, with 20 rest days built in and a £700 prize decided by fair draw. Then 53% of them came back for 2026.

Autumn 2025 · lanes arrive

Autumn Challenge 2025

Challenge two introduced lanes, so every pace had a path. Seventy days, 6 September to 14 November: hit your lane's target on 50 of them. The 12k lane walked for £200 cash, the 20k lane for £700, with a fair random draw if more than one finisher hit the mark. Major bragging rights either way.

January 2026

Global Hydration Challenge

300 people worldwide started the year with our January reset: 50 days of 2 to 3 litres a day from 12 January, guided by the Hydration Bingo Board, community check-ins and daily motivation.

Summer 2026

Step Into Summer 2026

The biggest yet: 932 participants and 97 million steps in 50 days, tracked end to end on the Sabi Sweat app. The 12k and 20k lanes returned, this time with two winners on 12k and one on 20k. Our challenges and prizes are getting bigger.

BIB 012 · QUESTIONS

Before you lace up

Do I need to be fit to join?

No. Challenges are built around your own baseline. The goal is consistency, not speed. Walkers, wheelchair users, buggy-pushers and runners all count the same steps.

Does it really cost nothing?

Taking part in a challenge will never cost you anything: Sabi Sweat is a Community Interest Company and our challenges are funded by partners and events. Ticketed events like the Summer Games are the exception, and we work with partners and grant funders to keep those affordable.

What if I miss a day?

Life happens, literally. Every member gets monthly Life Happens passes in the app that protect your streak automatically when you miss a goal. And bigger challenges have rest days built in from the start.

I'm not in London or Lagos. Can I still join?

Yes. Challenges are global. You'll move with us from wherever you are, and you'll always have a home crew at events if you visit either city. And as we grow, we'll be opening more hubs.
